All-New 1.4-Liter Engine
The 2017 Spark comes with a new 1.4-liter four-cylinder engine, good for an estimated 98 horsepower, which is a 16 % power increase over last year’s model. Furthermore, the new Spark comes standard with a five-speed manual transmission, and it is also available with a dual-range continuously variable transmission. Additionally, the all-new Spark yields an estimated 41 mpg on the highway.
A New Chevrolet MyLink Infotainment System
For the 2017 model year, the Spark will feature the next-generation Chevrolet MyLink infotainment system with a seven-inch diagonal color touch screen and phone integration through Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. This new system can be controlled by voice commands or through a small button on the steering wheel, which allows drivers to focus more of their attention of the road. The 2016 Chevy Spark also offers OnStar with 4G LTE built-in Wi-Fi hotspot.
Enhanced Safety Features
The 2017 Chevy Spark comes with 10 standard airbags, four-wheel antilock brakes, and a high-strength safety cage. Additionally, the 2016 Spark offers advanced safety features such as forward collision alert, lane departure warning, side blind zone alert, rear park assist, and a rear-vision camera.
